State Bank of India issued recruitment notice for Probationary Officer post few months back and huge number of applicants applied for the post. Online registration is now closed and the admit cards for the exam which will be taken on June is available on the website of State Bank of India. Candidates are gearing up for taking part in the highly competitive exam. Taking the right preparation in a smart way will surely edge you ahead compared to the other under prepared candidates. In these types of competitive recruitment exam, students need to study hard on the subjects they will be tested on.

Exam Pattern Of SBI Probationary Officer:

Exam will consist of two parts: objective and descriptive. Total marks for objective part is 200 and 50 for descriptive section. Both the objective and descriptive test will be taken online. Objective section has 4 categories with 50 questions set from each section. The categories are English language, General Awareness, Data Analysis and Interpretation and Test of Reasoning. Descriptive part will begin right after the objective part and candidates will have to answer descriptive section by typing on the computer. Duration of the descriptive part is 1 hour and full mark is 50. Questions will be set on English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary and Composition etc).

Exam Pattern Of SBI PO Preliminary:

There will be 100 multiple choice type questions in the preliminary exam. Questions will be set on English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. 30 questions will be set from English language and 35 each from the other two sections. Exam duration is 1 hour and each question will carry 1 mark. There will be negative marks for wrong answers. So, it is strongly recommended not to guess without being sure about the answer.

Preparation Tips For SBI PO Exam 2015:

Not much time left for the exam. So, each and every day is vital. So, utilization of time is so important. Candidates should make a proper study plan to practice all the parts from which questions will be set. They can solve previous year questions which are available in the main website of the bank. The more they will prepare themselves, the more confident they will feel and stay miles ahead of the other candidates.

Information About SBI PO Exam Group Discussion & Interview Questions:

Candidates securing cut off marks in the main exam will be eligible for phase-III. The Group Discussion part will contain 25 marks and interview will contain 30 marks. The number of preliminary exam will not added in the phase III but 30 % of the mark obtained in main exam will be carried forward (that makes 75 out of 250) and 50 % of the Group Discussion and Interview part (that makes 25 out of 50) will be added together and finally selected candidates will be marked out of plain 100. The selection will be made based on merit list and the list will be prepared based on marks obtained out of 100.
